New person

I’ve moved. I will no longer be blogging on this website. I will be blogging on soulfulabby.com

If you enjoy my post go to my new site and follow me there. Everything from the layout, contents, and author will be the same. I just need to find my own identity. I explained why I moved on my new blog. This will be the last post for this blog. So for the last time I will say…

Girlfriends

Hello love bugs. If you cannot name one of the females pictured above then… Slap yourself. I’mm truly just kidding. there is nothing better than having a good circle of girlfriends. I can never truly understand when girls say, “I don’t get along with other girls. They just don’t like me!” Typically the girl will finish off a statement like this by subltley commenting on her personal beauty and how other girls are sooooo jealous of her!

*eye roll*

I can’t wait to find my fab four in college. The fab four is my concept of four fabulously friends that make up a tight knit square.

The Real One: Everybody needs a friend that will give it to you straight. The one that won’t hold back. The one that will give you the best advice. Someone that will give you advice and commentary like they are you’re sisters. My sisters do not sugar coat when they are talking to me.

Sassy Gal: I need a friend that is as into fashion and glam as I am. (Hahaha, that rhymes) My sassy sista will share my love for shoes and keep me on point with the latest threads. Hopefully me and my sassy sista will be the  same size in clothes or shoes so that we can share. Although if we are not, there are always jewelry, handbags, and scarves to be shared.

Boy-Crazy Chica: Everybody has that friend that is somehow always involved in some sort of boy drama. This Chica adds a little spice to the group. Her heartbreaks & break-ups give   us a reason to chow down on a pint of Ben & Jerry’s. Somehow boys are always flying in and out of her life. But you love her regardless. (And she always knows the hottest guys to hook you up with! Score!)

The Intellectual: This is a girl that is globally, socially, and culturally involved. She will keep you on your toes and hold you up to a certain standard to keep up with the world’s current event. She’s smart, insightful, and creative. Although she seems very different from the rest of the group she holds the group together.

So I bet you’re wondering where I fall. I think I’m the “Friend you need”. I am the girl that will tell you have a booger in your nose. It may sound like a simple thing but I don’t understand how “true” friend will let you walk around looking ratchect. I guess I’m a mix of the best qualities from Jessica White, Kimora Lee Simmons, Tyra Banks, Beyonce Knowles, Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York, Miranda Hobbes, Joan Clayton, Maya Wilkes, and Lynn Searcy. (And yes I did leave off Toni)

Side note: I do not own the pictures above.

Ciao Bella!

Ahhh! I had a good day.

I actually wasn’t going to blog today but someone made my day. I just didn’t have much to say. That was until I checked my email and found out that the GREAT blogger, Bailey Mikell Nielson, of commanderinchic.com ‘liked’ one of my post. (Curls on Point). I really don’t know why the news of Ms. Nielson liking my post was such a momentous moment. There is just this blissful feeling of having a blogger you know and respect ‘liked’ on of your post. Ms. Nielson is insightful, beautiful, funny, and a times very witty. I suggest you follow her blog too!

Sidenote: I really respect all my readers and “likers”. I guess I don’t say it enough. Even though I only average about six views a day, (5 of which are mine!) each viewer means something special to me. As though I am significant enough to put a smile on someone’s face or insightful enough to give advice on challenging situations. I hope that some of my posts inspire my readers to check out special scriptures in the bible that I find helpful.

So I guess I’m trying to say thank you! Thank you for taking time out of your day to check out my developing blog. 🙂

Ciao Bella!

Sorry!

Hey Love Bugs! I am so so so so sorry that I haven’t been updating. As I have already mentioned I’m in London, a/k/a the land of the un-procative. I have not had internet connection for the LAST WEEK! One whole week. Now don’t get me wrong. I am by no means ‘addicted’ to the internet, technology, any other forms of mass media. (I do like to read my bible, pray, and eat. Please excuse me for putting my relationship with God & my love for food in the same sentence)  It’s just that I made this blog with the intentions of updating regularly. But I have a suprise for you. Actually, it will be my Christmas gift to y’all. So come back on December 25th for the big SURPRISE!  So stay tuned!

Ciao Bella!

The Life of a Jet Setter

Hello love bugs! Sorry I know it has been forever! Sorry I have been so busy. Let me give you a bit of a run down of what has gone down the last few days.

Well if you don’t already know I’m in London. FYI- I was born & raised in London, England (*Adele- Hometown Glory begins playing in the background*) I lived in London til I was four and moved to the USA because my mom’s job was transferred.

So I’m back in my hometown with all my lovely Uncles & Aunties. The flight was quite nice. That was until the stop over in Chicago when I had a rude encounter with a AmericanAirlines flight attendant. Now this was at the airport while talking to someone working at the counter. I was just asking a simple question about my seat on the flight when the African American lady proceed to cut me off and talk to me condescendingly. I didn’t understand why she was so rude. It was only the grace of God that kept me from rebuking her! Let’s just say the ‘sassy Nigerian woman’ didn’t come out of me.

I guess that’s one of my fears. To end up doing a job that I hate and tormenting others around me with my rude and spiteful spirit. I pray each day that God will lead me to my purpose and that happiness will line my destiny. 🙂

Well here is a quick picture of me on the flight. (Sorry I look so rough)
